The Employee Telephone Access Program
We provide companies with an interactive computerized system of the National Depression Screening Project that provides employees and their families to take a free, anonymous and reliable 4-5 minute self-test for depression or alcohol problems via the telephone. It administers the test through a pre-recorded series of questions answered via push-button phones. Callers receive immediate feedback about their test results and a general referral message to their employee assistance program or health provider.
The programs's objectives are early identification and intervention on behalf of undiagnosed, clinical depression and alcohol problems. All companies will be supplied with a promotional poster to be displayed at each work site and a sample letter of introduction will be available to reproduce and distribute to employees.
